Ongoing Programs
Learn about ongoing programs and trainings with Jon Young.
With the release last fall of the first edition of Coyote's Guide to Connecting with Nature, Jon is excited about many programs and projects related to this newest book. The Guide and these programs are based on the wisdom gained from over 25 years of practical experience in applied Coyote and Cultural Mentoring, as well as the understandings passed down through several ancient lineages of mentoring in nature connection. The second edition of the book is in production and will become available on our Webstore in the near future.
Intensive Trainings:
RDNA Native Eyes - RDNA Regenerative Design & Nature Awareness - RDNA 8 Shields Cultural Mentoring Program - Wildlore
Weekend/Special Trainings:
Integral Awareness Training Series - Shikari/Integral Awareness Mentoring - Essentials of Nature Awareness

This year we are featuring a newly designed and improved program that we've been working on for the past three years as a pilot program. Due to popular demand, a great deal of feedback from staff and participants, and elders of the community, we are proud to announce the powerful program:
The RDNA: Native Eyes nine-month intensive program is the only program of its kind, and is entirely based on the principles outlined in Coyote's Guide, and is especially designed for adults. This program runs at the same location, and on the same schedule as the RDNA program (see below), except that it is only on Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening.
Share an amazing 9 month journey into bird language, “tending the wild”, advanced awareness, earth living skills, the “Eight Shields” of holistic tracking, and the way of the Native Scout! You will discover your place as an integrated member of the natural community, develop an intuitive sense of care giving, feed your adventurous spirit, come to know the animals and plants as friends, and the wilderness as home.

The Fundamentals of Regenerative Design and Nature Awareness Training Program (RDNA)
Jon Young, Nicole Young, Penny Livingston-Stark, James Stark, Ned Conwell, David Hage, and Lauren Dalberth are the experienced staff who lead this 9-month training program. Classes meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from September to July.
This advanced year-long program is a hands-on skill based training devoted to helping students develop leadership skills necessary to further sustainable & regenerative practices in their personal and professional lives. Weaving together the teachings of permaculture design, art of mentoring, peacemaking and the power of holistic tracking, the Regenerative Design and Nature Awareness Program offers a comprehensive exploration of where we came from, where we are now and where we are going. With an emphasis on building meaningful relationships we move into understanding our role within our community as an integral part of the natural world.
Enrollment for 2008 - 2009 is currently open. Early registration discounts available. Seize the moment now and see if this program is right for you.
Note: Participants must be of sufficient physical fitness to be outdoors all day comfortably. All classes are held only in California.

Each week students receive advanced teachings from Jon Young and James Stark in the art of mentoring, cultural design, and leadership in the fields of permaculture and nature awareness. Senior staff meet with participants to apply new lessons to RDNA class sessions. All participants will enjoy a personalized leadership training experience.
